I Ran Up I Ran Down

Sixteen-year-old Mariam has spent eight winters isolated with her mother in Tusheti, a remote mountain region in Georgia cut off by snow for half the year. As their shrinking highland community becomes increasingly hard to sustain, Mariam must negotiate the transition to adulthood as a disabled young woman in a world of quickly changing categories.
